Had unprotected sex 4 months ago, period continued as normal and had no symptoms. Then had unprotected sex a week ago. This last episode happened the day before my period was meant to start. My period came for only 1 day and was very light (which is not normal for me, i usually have it 4-5 days.) 3 days after the unprotected sex and 1 day of bleeding I am having physical symptoms. Some lower back pain, near the tailbone, lower abdominal cramping and some vaginal inflammation (feels like throbbing). Had some discharge, but it is similar to the discharge I get when I am ovulating,clear with no smell. I am also very tired and have developed a bit of an upper respiratory infection (I have not been sick/ill in over a year.) Think i had a fever last night as I woke up with cold sweats. I went for the basic STD tests 3 days after the unprotected sex but they dont have the results yet. I also took a pregnancy test but it was negative (it was only 5 days after sex.) I dont know what to make of this and am anxious. Could this be an STD from 4 months ago whose symptoms have started now? Do STD symptoms appear only 3 days after unprotected sex? Or could I be pregnant considering my period came for only 1 day and I had what could be interpreted as implantation bleeding?

It definately sounds like something for your gyn to look at. The tiredness and practicaly nonexhistent period could go with that too. Although the stress of worry can do many things also. As far as STD's I guess that could be a possibility also. Sometimes they take 6wks or so to show up fully. The best advice I can give you is stop having unprotected sex and go see your gyno.
