last night when my husband got out of the shower he noticed that some of his vein in his scrotum were a dark purpleish color. What should we do and what could have caused this? He was trying to think if he could have hurt them in anyway but we came up with nothing. What could this be? I have been searching the web and have found nothing that directly says anything.

I believe that maybe this isn’t so serious. I like to have hot shower and when I say hot I really mean hot! My bathroom becomes steam bathroom during my showering. And afterwards I have noticed that veins on my penis get more noticeable and they are darker for a few shades. I am now aware that this is the consequence of the heat.
Does your husband still have the dark purple veins or his penis is normal now? If it is normal than it was the same thing like in my case and the heat is the prime culprit.
But if it is still purple than it would be best to see urologist. Anyway it is better to be safe than sorry.
