MY Daughter was on methadone fot a little over 3 years, she was on a very high dose 530mg unheard off ,she went down to 475mg last may' she relapsed in june stopped methadone and started using, she cameback in september stoped using and not on anything right know and is been so sick and miserable she has alot of aches nausea and has not had a solid bowl movement,she is trying to get in sabonxan . can she still be having withdrawls from yhe methadone,please respond to any sugestions or answers you give me.

Why was she on that to start with? If a Dr. took her off they usually wein you off of any meds. They would also put her or suggest any relief. The metadone binds with morophine and opiates usually cause constipation. So that might be why shes having loose stools. My with drawal that I went through I was sick but you just have to fight it. Try like bananas, rice or breads that might help the loose stools. For pain alieve works good and a natural sleep aide is Melatonin, that works very well. Just keep on encouraging her and your diong a good thing. I hope this helps.
