Methadone withdrawls, need some help.

Theresa, I am sorry you are going through such pain right now. I think your first step is to come clean (that is, with your husband). If he knows what you are going through, don't you think he would be there to help you through it? Getting off drugs is not easy alone...with the support of your family, it will be much easier. You need to tell him because if you do have to go to the hospital, he will find out anyway. You should be honest before its too late. My advice is to reach out for the support you have already. Good luck. You can do this, You are strong.

I agree with this advice, THeresa. Can you tell us how you're doing and give us an update once you're able to follow it through? I'd like to hear how you're doing. Baby, what else do you think she should do at this point?

Hey Healthfitnessguy! I don't have much else to say, except, that she has to have support, without it, she is only setting herself up to go back on the drugs...the easy way out. She needs to enlist the support of her family to get through this; if she doesn't feel like she has the support there, there are places she can go and people she can talk to who deal with this everyday...true professionals. I had a very good friend that was addicted to Methadone...it is a horrible horrible drug and soooo addictive. He was only able to get off and stay off by staying in a very extensive re-hab center, and even then he relapsed numerous times. This kind of thing cannot be done alone.
