Mylanta is nothing more than calcium carbonate / magnesium carbonate. There is no reason what-so-ever that you cannot take Mylanta if you are diabetic.

Hallo,
If I am not mistaking Mylanta is used to treat too much of stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn. I think that it can also be used for acid indigestion. The fact is that this medication doesn’t work to prevent acidity in stomach it can just work on your current acid problem. I know that doctors usually tell you not to use this medication if you have issues with kidneys and you can’t take alcohol with this. But I didn’t hear that it can have adverse reaction to your diabetes condition. How long have you been diabetic? Are you taking your insulin regularly? Be aware of dehydration when you take this medication as well. I hope I helped you a bit.
