I am an obese 37 year old woman.1.64m and 101kg I’ve had 2 children with my youngest being 2.
On the 4th of December I had my Gallbladder removed and at the same time did a gastroscopy and it was noticed that I have stomach ulcers, numerous small ones and 2 big, deep ones. (I was put on Pariet 20mg 2 x am and 2 x pm 80mg for 1 month) I am still on Altocet 20 (1 x am) – generic of pariet – will find out the other name if needed) for the stomach and will remain on it for another month.
On the 1st of January 2009 I had which has now been diagnosed as either Coronary Spasm or oesophagus spasm.
I’ve been to a physician and the following tests have been done:
EKG, Stress EKG, heart blood tests and numerous other tests incl liver etc. Cholesterol and blood glucose is also fine! Blood pressure normal but I have the tendancy to stress and have been on Librium 25mg. (not currently – only use as needed)
I’ve had an IVP and the kidneys are fine. An angiogram was done on the 19th of January and lung embolisms have been ruled out.
I have been on Wellbutrin SR (1 x am and 1 x pm) since the 4th of January and stopped smoking on the 11th of January 2009.
I was on baby asperin and Isordil 40mg until the 19th of January.
I got Nitrolingual Spray. (which did not work during the attack)
After this diagnosis I had a very active Saturday (14 February)
And then in the afternoon I got another attack.
I used the Nitrolingual Spray and it did not seem to work – I was taken to the doctor within 10 min – got 4 different kind of injections (1ampule omoprom, 2ml tramal 100mg, 2ml zantac 50mg) and finally after about 30min the pain started subsiding.
My doctor has now put me on VeraHexal 240SR 240mg (1 x ½am and 1 x ½pm)
And then obviously the Altocet and the Wellbutrin.
I went to my doctor’s partner yesterday and he says he want to send me for another gastroscopy as he think that possibly this is not heart related and that it could be that the ulcers have not healed and that I have oesophagusitis (I can’t find any info on the internet relating to this) Since Saturday I have an occasional pain close to heart and I have been stressing tremendously! Doctor gave me the following Bromazepan 3mg ½ 8 hourly and Ultak 300mg 1x am and 1 x pm until he can get appointment for me to have the gastroscopy.
Could you please give me your opinion on this matter as this is obviously driving me and my family nuts not knowing what is wrong with me and the fact that these attacks continue and occur without warning!
