For two last years I am on Diazepam. Now my doctor thinks that I might start using Lorazepam instead. What do you think? Which one is better? I know that both, Diazepam and Lorazepam are benzodiazepines, but still is there any difference? If you know something about this please write, my next doctors appointment is next week.

You are right, they both are benzodiazepines. But Diazepam and Lorazepam are different in potency. That means that if you use them as a sedative (for sleeping) you will need more mg (10) of Diazepam, then Lorazepam (2-2.5 mg). Also Diazepam is better absorbed after oral and amnesia caused by it begin more rapidly with it. On the other hand amnesia with Lorazepam lasts longer.
