Are there any people here with some good knowledge of Scleroderma? I am trying to find out about the different types of the disease. I know that there are some differences, both in symptoms and in prognosis, but that they are all nasty and untreatable. Can you tell me the difference between Limited and Diffuse Scleroderma?

Limited and Diffuse Scleroderma are the two main types of Scleroderma, though there are others besides those two as well. Limited Sclerodarma is a progressive disease, which affects many or all parts of the body and commonly overlaps with man other autoimmune diseases. Diffuse Scleroderma is the more mild brother, as far as I am able to see. It can progess very quickly, but has fewer symptoms.
