Honestly, I'm 90% sure that I have diabetes. I have the symptoms: 1) excessive thirst/urination 2) tingling/numbness in hands 3) weight loss ( I lost 5 pounds in two days...that's not normal) 4) rashes (come and go). I can't see a doctor right now because me and my parents don't have time until summer break and they don't believe I have diabetes. They keep "saying you're too young." I just want to know your opinions if I have diabetes. And what I should be doing until I can finally confirm it.
Also I have this memory that this happened last year too. I was sick for a while and I lost 10 pounds. Is that normal? I'm sick right now but right now, I'm experiencing the same thing that happened last year.
I am fourteen years old girl and I weigh 135 ponds.

Michelle,
The only way to know for sure is to do some blood testing.
Losing weight when you're sick is normal. You usually don't take in as many calories yet your body is using more calories to fight the infection.
Describe your excessive thirst and urination?
The tingling/numbness, how long have you had it? When does it happen, how long? Does it go away?
Describe the rash. Where and what does it look like?

I have diabetes for ten years and now and my urine smells like old water. Is this a bad sign?
