I have to say that I suffer from intestinal problems from time to time and a friend recommended me to try dealing with it with diuretics. I haven’t been to a doctor but I hope I will not have to since it is not something major, but it is simply annoying. Anyway, I have been thinking of skipping the meds and to try with herbs. Does dandelion have diuretic effects?

You have chosen the right thing. If you want diuretic effect, than you have to use dandelion leaves, not roots (since the roots are used as antiviral substance). So, leaves will help you improve gastrointestinal health and also strengthen immune system. They might also help with the kidneys too. And of course, if those leaves are not helpful, try going to a doctor.
