Is there a good source of potassium I can be taking? The most I have ever seen in a supplement is 6% of daily values and i was wondering if there is something i should be using to help that.

Avocados are great for potassium - so are oranges and cantaloupe.
Also, milk, yogurt, broccoli, and fish are great sources. As far as supplements go, I'm not sure of a good one to try that would have a higher percentage but the foods will definitely help!

Eating a variety of foods containing potassium would get you an adequate amount of this mineral. If you eat a balanced diet, you would rarely need potassium supplements.
To retain potassium from foods when cooking, use a minimal amount of water and cook for the shortest possible time.
Here are some potassium rich foods:
Acorn squash
Potato with skin
Spinach
Lentils
Kidney beans
Split peas
White navy beans
Butternut squash
Watermelon
Raisins
