My Doctor specifically told me that Klonopin is notorious for showing false negatives for drug tests. I get a levels test at a laboratory, and although the lab director tells me that he sees some level of Benzodiazepines in my system, my 3 MG per day that I take of Klonopin is not enough to surpass the threshold of 300 ng on the levels test, and hence, I never show up positive for Benzo's, even though my Doctor, and Lab Director clearly have my prescription listed in the chart. In any case, if you bring in your prescription, even if you do get a positive, you should be just fine because you have a legitimate prescription. If someone is accusing you of not taking your meds at all, ask them to speak to the Lab Director where you are getting your tests done, and (in my case anyway), the Lab Director will confirm that some level of Benzodiazepines is, in fact, showing up on the tests, it's just not enough to reach the cut-off threshold, and so the results come back negative.

I would find another Doctor who knows what they are doing, and who doesn't yell at their patients. That is absolutely asinine.
My doctor is fantastic, and he's educated enough to know that Klonopin is notorious for giving false negatives. If you have levels test done at a lab, then there is usually a cut off before it is reported as positive. In my case that cut off is 300 ng. My 3 MG of Klonopin per day are not enough to surpass that threshold so I always show up negative for Benzo's. My Doctor understands this though, an would never accuse me of any malicious intent to give or sell them away. If my doctor really wanted to check, he could call the lab director where I received the levels test and the lab director who would assure the doctor that there is a certain level of Benzo's in my system. Tell your Doctor to test for Clonazapam.Only 2% is excreted you would have to take 20mg before it will show up in a urine test.I take .5 3Xday and I had the same problem.They can test specifically for Clonazapam not a general Benzo test.

I just had the same problem a week ago at my pain clinic all my other meds showed up except my klonopin I take I mg once a day for 10 yrs. Apparently it always shows up but it didn't this time, I don't know why but I am afraid they are not going to treat me anymore I've been there 12yrs.
