Hello! My sister I thirty five and she noticed milk coming from her both breasts. Her children are five and three years old and she stopped breast feeding then when they were ten months old. She went to see her doctor and he said it was galactorrhea. After some test he diagnosed pituitary micro-adenoma called prolactionma. What other effects of micro-adenoma can occur?

Hello! Microadenoma is a tumor less than ten millimeters in diameter. Prolactinomas are most common secretor tumors and they may cause galactorrhea, amenorrhea or infertility, hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, and decreased libido. Symptoms of a pituitary micro-adenoma can range from tiredness or restlessness, to headaches, vomiting, or dizziness. They are usually treated with medicines.
