I have had a very painful elbow which my Dr diagnosed as RA. Drew the blood and then started me on steroids. 10 days later it was still somewhat swollen and still very painful. The x-ray showed a really destroyed joint which may need surgical intervention. The RA factors were negative. I am having an MRI on Saturday. She also repeated all of the blood work. I return ti=o see her on Monday. I drink alcohol socially and also take a statin for elevated cholesterol. Labs done in September(thru another lab facility) were normal. Any ideas about what is going on here.
