I have noticed 1 thing though. I get less erections when I sleep to my left with knees drawn close to the chest or when I lay on my back with legs folded vertically. This position seems to be relaxing the pelvic floor muscle. I am beginning to assume this is some kind of PFD related issue.

I find it fascinating to read your post. You are experiencing exactly the same issue as I am having. Yours has been going on for 4 to 5 years and mine is coming up to 3 years. I can also relate to how your symptoms are affected to the position of sleep you are in.
This issue is referred to as Stuttering / Recurrent Nocturnal Priapism and can lead to complications several years down the line. I also have seen some of the best andrologists in London and have spoken to a few around the world who are the most specialised in this matter having published several articles. The exact cause of this has not been determined, and there are not too many of us with this problem. Frankly I am absolutely exhausted of looking around online reading blogs with responses of people who say how lucky we are, or how we should jerk off at night to relieve the symptoms. For this reason I am collecting the email addresses of people who have this issue and together we will find a solution.

Well, I had lost a 100 pounds weight 10 years back and have maintained it that way. What I have noticed is that, whenever i go on a very low calorie diet, my erections become stronger. Getting back on high cal diet gets me back to track but makes me fat. Note that i take multivitamin/multimineral capsules and generally eat food rich in proteins and veggies. So I dont suffer from any deficiencies. Its just that low cal diet throws me out of the track. Not sure why! Am on 6th year of this problem.
