As weird as it sounds. One of the 2 solves it for me.
1) Eating half a multivitamin/multimineral and at least 2 FULL eggs at night with dinner reduces it by 70%
2) Eating a meal high is overall macros (carbs, fats, proteins.) reduces it by 70%
3) Combining the above steps 1 and 2, solves it 100%.

Please note that Step1, I need eat 2 full eggs atleast for a few days for the erections to slow down. Once I stop it, depending on my caloric intake, it comes back within 2 to 3 days. I am a vegetarian and do not eat non-veg.

To add to the above post:

I have been experimenting with different foods since the last 8 years. I am a vegetarian. For some reasons eggs works the best. I have compared eggs with different diets nutrition wise. I even took Selenium, inositol, Choline supplements as eggs are rich in these. Though Choline/Inositol helped a bit, it was not much compared to eating eggs. Also taking more eggs and taking the multivitamin at night makes it better. But since i workout in the morning, i take the vitamins in the morning. I am an engineer and do not know how eggs are keeping it down.

I take muscleXP men's vital multivitamin if that helps. Tried centrum but it caused constipation so stopped. As mentioned by other posts, masturbating more or less is no way linked to my problems. I believe someday I will be able to crack this issue. But fortunately, this is the best I have ATM. The best I could link is the netflix documentary - the game changers. There they mention that eating animal based food reduces erections at night. But I am not sure if this is related to that. Anyways, if someone find this works for you please post back. More people, the easier it gets to solve this.

Guest XYZ.

If you want to give this a try - try eating 2+ eggs at least for a month at night. I started eating whole eggs when I started gymming. I do not know how long it took for this to come into control as I did not relate it to eggs initially. But I believe it took upto 6 months initially after I started gymming. So try a longer duration before giving up.

Hello brother. Thanks for your advice. I followed your steps and it definitely helped me a lot. It sounds a bit weird yeah, but by an unknown mechanism it seems to block the problem, I was skeptical. We have a Facebook group with people suffering the same issues, I invite you to join us to discuss the solutions. Regards.

Get up and try urinating. This happens to me when I am side sleeping so I assume it's putting extra pressure on bladder somehow making my body react with erection to prevent urinating. But it always helps to just get up and urinate. Try to back sleep if possible.
Also stretch out front area of underwear well so erection can freely be without pressure on the tip to avoid discomfort.

I think it just has to do with blood circulation. When this happens to me, and I stand up for a few seconds, it goes away because the blood is able to flow away. If you sleep in a position or with clothes that "kink the base of the hose" so to speak, blood can go in but doesn't flow back out as easily. I sleep on my side, and this can happen. If I put a pillow or something between my legs so that my knees aren't touching and my legs are more open, it seems to help.
For people saying you have to masturbate, that's a different issue. If you are erect due to arousal, you might have trouble getting it to go away otherwise, but if it is just a blood flow issue I can get my problem to go away just by removing constraining clothes and/or standing up for a minute.
I hope this helps, and remember: I'M NOT A DOCTOR!

Become morbidly obese and you'll never have this problem. Half the US male and female adult population is so morbidly obese that they have penis envy of anyone that can get an erection. You men in their 50+'s, you should feel proud of your erection, you just need to let your penis do its thing, mainly ejecting semen.

It can be caused by sickle cell, perhaps other health issues. A multivitamin, healthy diet can help but best to see doctor to determine cause.
For me it happens when I sleep on very cushy surface that seems to trap blood like soda, memory foam mattress.
A firmer mattress doesn't do it to me.

Thanks for the suggestion of 2 eggs, multi vitamin, 1 meal high in over all macros. Good to see others reporting some success with it. I've been on a low carb diet for 3 years and last 3 months low carb and vegetarian. Had this problem for about 6 months. Hoping this will work for me. Regards.

I’ve been there and know how haunting it is. It’s miserable. I spent 7 plus years dealing with this every night. I don’t know what happened it went away. And I have no idea why
