I'm 16 years old now. I started menstruating when I was 11. For the first 3 months, hey were very light, brown, and lasted 2-3 days. The 4th month, right after I turned 12, they started getting really heavy, but still lasting 2-3 days for a few months. Then, I started bleeding bright red blood and the periods began to last for months continuously. I have to wear adult diapers to bed, and I still bleed through onto my mattress. I'm bleeding now, and have been continuously for almost a year and a half. I'm always tired and have a headache and back pain. I've gone to the doctor several times, and we've tried several forms of birth control to try to help my problem, but nothing has helped! We've done blood tests, and my iron and blood count is fine. Also, the blood smells so bad, I'm embarrassed to leave the house.
