Here's the thing. I didn't have my period for about 4-5 months, then last month I finally got my period. The weird thing is, my husband and I had sexual intercourse then later on that day I started spotting a little, then a few days later I started bleeding(I believe my menstrual cycle has finally started after all these months). But the thing is I've had my menstrual period since last month of January and it's still going on. It doesn't seem to be light at all. It's always changing between moderate and heavy. But it also smells really really bad. I'm not sure what to do. Last year I went to see my doctor and told her about my menstrual cycle not being regular, she didn't help me much. She just told me that it's possible my weight makes my menstrual cycle irregular. Someone help please. Thanks in advance.

Sorry but I also forgot to note that my blood is very bright red. I get headaches and feel very weak all the time. All I ever do is sleep and sleep because I get very weak. I'm also going through a fever right now.

Maybe you should have your blood work done and check the iron levels to see if it could be anemia that is causing your weakness. You've been bleeding for a month, so it is likely you lost more blood than you should have.
You said your doctor mentioned your weight but you never said how much you weigh. Being overweight and obesity can influence hormones and menstrual cycle, so that could be the reason of your irregular cycle and now this irregular bleeding.
One thing is certain, you need to see a doc again to help you stop this bleeding. Maybe you should switch to another doc if possible.
Also, you could have your hormones checked to see if you maybe suffer from PCOS especially if you have problems with weight.
