Hi, I had my first cervical injection this past thursday and to date still have facial flushing and my head feels heavy - almost like sinuses, but not quite - i have taken tylenol only and xanax on a daily basis - my question is.....is this a normal side effect or do i have to worry that something is not right - please advise

As far as I can tell, that sounds pretty normal. But it shouldn't persist. Has it remained the same since Thursday, or has it gotten better day by day? If it hasn't, I think it might be a good idea to call your doctor. I don't think it's necessarily anything to worry about because it could simply be your body's recovery, but I think that if it seems unusual that you should definitely talk to your doctor. I hope that your recovery is going well otherwise. Let us know how this turns out!

I received my first epidural injection yesterday and today I have facial flushing. Did some research online and found that it does happen, sometimes causing a general redness over the entire body. What I couldn't find was how long this lasts. I'd like to take some Benadryl to see if it will help. Does anyone else have more information? I think this is something patients should be told to look for, but not necessarily worry about.

I also had my first injection yesterday and today my face is flushed. If anyone knows this to be a normal reaction, please let me know. Thanks so much.
