I was doing my homework and was biting my fingernails out of habit. Next thing I knew, my friend came to ask me a question and I was speaking with a bit of the fingernail in my mouth, so they wouldn't know my habit. When I was done talking, I realized that it was gone and I could feel something in my throat. I've done many things such as eating rice/bread, drinking water, and, sadly, had to go as far as vinegar due to acidity, but then I realized that it was in my Esophagus or windpipe. It's not bothering me with pain or shortness of breath, but I'm afraid it will later on and it's been months now since the beginning of winter break last year. It's still there. I can feel it in my throat. I'm afraid of going to see the doctor, but, knowing that I'll have to do so eventually, I want to find help before having to go see them. Is there anyone who can help me? I've tried the hacking cough, but I guess it's a little deep.

I don't really know how anyone can help you unless you go to the doctor. I also have a very bad phobia of doctors but I have bad anxiety and issues with my stomach so instead of waiting for it to pass by like I usually do I went to the doctor because I know it would probably be better for me.

Brown bread got stuck in my windpipe. I have to bring it up, which then follows with a load of mucus which is choking me as I'm toeing to get it up. What can this be?
