I had this fusion done in 2001. Is it possible to still have left Leg pain, numbness balance problems from this type of injury. I fell and the disk at C4-5 and 5-6 compressed my spinal cord for approx. 6 mos. before the fusion operation. Other symptoms still include headaches and at times excruciating pain in my ring and small fingers of both hands, right shoulder and arm pain and sometimes Left as well plus the aforementioned Leg problem. Also the front of my thighs "feel cold" before the operation and sometimes now.
STRANGE thing is, I had no pain symptoms in my NECK prior to the operation, I was told the symptoms in the other areas mentioned was called "referred pain"-especially the fingers and Big Left toe(shooting pain at times-does this make sense to anyone out there?-W.C.B. says I should not have any pain any longer, especially my Left leg problems...please help as I am under appeal with them.
