The generic adderall I have been receiving from my pharmacist is only effective for an hour or so (10mg 2times day) and makes me feel so anxious! I was told to try the brand name adderall instead... After talking with the pharmacy they told me that pharmacies don't carry brand name, where should I go? what do I do?

The "generic" is merely the manufacture name on the med instead of the "brand" name. I am an RN and can tell that most of the time our hospital uses generic meds. As far as I know, we have not had any issues with this. It only makes sense that the pharmacy would want you to take the brand name; it costs a whale of a lot more.
