I have been taking warfarin for a long time for dealing with vein thrombosis. I have problems with widened veins and phlebitis. Warfarin helps a lot with this condition, prevents creation of thrombus. What I would like to know is has anyone been on warfarin during pregnancy? I am trying to get pregnant for quite some time and I would like to know if that drug is dangerous for me.

It is a medicament strictly forbidden to use while in pregnancy. This goes especially for first three months, because it could have teratogen effects. It penetrates the placenta very easily and could cause serious damage to fetus and its growth (also including abnormal bone growth). You must not take this drug during pregnancy or while trying to get pregnant.
