i am 13 and in may i got my first period but it was very heavy bleeding and no cramps. the bleeding was so bad that i would have to go to the bathroom every 30-60 minutes to wipe all the blood away and if i didn't this weird dark purple/red liqued stuff would drip out. also the blood was bright red and not dark. i didn't get my period again until yesterday and when i did get it there was so much blood and still there were no cramps. last night i had to wake up every hour to go and wipe all the blood and the red/purple stuff kept coming out. is this my period???

It likely is, yes. The first time you get your period, it's quite odd. It can be a different color, be more mucusy than normal, and often is cramp-free. You should start to get it every month.

You may be one of the lucky ones who won't suffer from menstral cramps. I had them sooo bad when i was a young girl, i actually missed school at least once a month. 2 of my girls get them and my younger daughter doesn't even know she has her period half the time.
