There is nothing you can do and you need to see a doctor to determine what the reason of such prolonged bleeding would be. Even a ten-day bleeding would be considered prolonged and needed to be checked. Is this the first time it happened?

How regular are your periods? Do you get them every month?

Possible reason may have nothing to do with your vaginal area. You could be facing problems with thyroid or pituitary gland. You could be experiencing hormonal imbalance, some kind of infection, abnormal cells. DO you use tampons? Are you sure you haven’t forgotten one inside your vaginal cavity? This happens to many women, believe it or not, and makes them bleed. This is very dangerous condition, having forgotten your tampon inside.

Other possible causes are pelvic region related but you see to be too young for any of these. Maybe you should stop exercising until you solved the problem but it is essential to see a gynecologist.

I forgot to ask one more question! How much do you exercise? If you do excessive exercising, this could be causing your menstrual problems
