My sister 22 yrs old had high fever when she was 6 years old and she was in coma for 18 days. Now she is grown up but she had a lots of problem in coordination . She won't able to write properly. She has difficulty in learning spellings. Her IQ is 87. Her MRI report shows diffused cebellar atrophy and verman atropy. Sir please tell me if there is any medical cure for this problem?

In India doctors are not even ready to accept that she had problems. Sir she is not able to compete with other persons of her age in acadenics as well as in normal life also. Sir what can we do for her better future and to make her independent? Without any medical support she won't be able to study because she is not able to write in exams in 3 hrs like other student. I want medical support for her. Please give me advice.

Thank you

Hi Diksha,

Unfortunately, her doctors are your best source of information.  If you are not getting the information you need then seek another doctor.

The MRI indicates that portions of her brain are not functioning properly.  Without knowing her history and running tests we can't provide a more specific answer.  Sorry.
