I had fusion of C5,6 and 7 in November 2012. Right after doctor scrubbed out and resident was ready to sew me up, I crashed. notes read, bp bottomed out, unrecognizable arrhythmia, looking flattened at some points, thready pulse. Was given Epi, which took my bp from 40/20 to 270/174. Yeah I think that was a little too much Epi. Anyway to make a long story short, I was transferred to the Coronary Care ICU for 5 day. Had echo, had cath, no heart damage. So I come home and have some of my friends over, who are in the medical field, and they look at me and say your left eye is drooping. I thought I was feeling rather odd on the left side of my face, tingling, numb, and headache just on that side. So today, Feb 8 2013, I had an already scheduled appt. with my Neuro Opthamologist for another reason. when he started checking my pupils, and checking and checking, then said your pupils are different sizes, I said they were the same size before surgery. So he did some more test, drops, and came back in 1/2 later and looked at me and said you have Horner's syndrome. WHAT???? Like I want anything or need anything else wrong. I am post-op 3 months. Has anyone else experienced this, and will it go away, if not, what on earth do you do for it, if anything.
Thanks!!
