Hello, I would like to ask you a question concerning chronic lymphatic leukemia. My mother is 60 years old and she has just been diagnosed with that condition. I have heard that usually older people suffer from leukemia, but I do know that even children show symptoms of leukemia have it. So, how old are patients diagnosed with chronic lymphatic leukemia?

I think that you have misunderstood some facts here. Your mother suffers from lymphatic leukemia, and children are usually affected by myeloid leukemia. These two conditions are very different, especially when it comes to survival rate and prognosis. Sometimes patients with CLL do not need therapy until the first symptoms are shown and that may take a while.
