I am posting here on behalf of my 56-year-old husband who was diagnosed with a Type B dissecting aortic aneurysm two months ago. It was picked up on a CT scan for a cough he had trouble getting rid of. He has had 2 CT scans and 2 visits to an excellent vascular surgeon who is recommending a "wait and watch" approach with very strict blood pressure management and 6-month CT scans. My husband is having a hard time living with this knowledge. Every twinge of pain he has brings tremendous anxiety. I want to be as supportive as possible so any suggestions about how he can learn to live with this would be welcome.
