When your body reacts in different ways, ex -Tylenl/Acetaminophen that is in meds like Lortab,Lorcet,Norco,Vicoden. These have Hydrocodone and the abbreviation for Acetaminophen is APAP. Medications have to be filter out of your body. Kidneys=NSAIDs.......Liver=Acetominophen... if you are on other medication that go through your liver and take Rx pain meds like Norco 5/325mg then chronic use would be a possible issue. Getting blood work done that includes ... CMP, CBC, GGT, ALT, AST are the basic tests needs to be done every 3-6 months depending on your health and medications

Acetaminophen in small doses will damage your liver even without alcohol use. I do not drink and my liver is damaged.

First of all, I'm sorry for your years of garbage you've endured. Second, thank you for sharing your years of strife. Keeping a sense of humor is difficult at times and painting on a smile, well eventually the paint wears off. I'm in chronic pain myself for 20+ yrs and getting worse. To me pain is a way of life, that acquaintance is something I'd much rather live without. I worked as an aide at a large nursing home for 8 years, physical therapy, whirlpool room, occuptional, speech. As I live like I do I tell myself when days get rough,,that "life could be worse" and to get my bum up and get moving. Doesn't always work though. But in my heart, I know it truly can be. Do I hate my bedroom (dungeon) yes! Am I coming close to the confines of a wheelchair, yes. But I'm not going without a fight. So I thank you for your career choice and for your effort in teaching others, to alert them of what is and what will be. Stay strong miss nurse. I look forward to your next post.

How do you even function? I take 0ne Hydrocodone 10/325 every 8 hours except at night and I cut a pill in half for night time and just take half and save the other half till the next night. I also take one 800 mg of Ibuprofen at the same time as the hydro and cut one in half for night. The Hydro cause me to itch and scratch for a bit after taking it, plus it causes very dry skin. 2 Hydro's a night and I wouldn't have any skin left. I would scratch it all off!
