HOW HIGH IS YOUR PROLACTIN LEVEL, ETC.? IS IT OVER 10? SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE PROLACTINOMA....MY DAUGHTER IS TREATED WITH A PILL...I CANT REMEMBER WHAT ITS CALLED SHE TAKES ONE PILL A WEEK. ITS BEEN JUST OVER A YEAR...SINCE SHE STARTED TAKING IT....HER PROLACTIN LEVEL IS NORMAL NOW....BUT THE TUMOR HAS TO DISAPPEAR BEFORE SHE CAN QUIT TAKING THE PILL. THE DOC SAID..." IT CAN TAKE UP TO 5 YEARS FOR IT TO DISSOLVE" BUT, FOR NOW...IT DOING FINE...AND THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL SHE BREAST FED AND AFTER A YEAR OF NOT BREAST FEEDING....SHE WAS STILL LACTATING. THATS WHY SHE WENT TO THE DOC. HER PROLACTIN LEVEL WAS IN THE HIGH 60'S. WAY TOO HIGH.

Hi, I have prolactin of 145 level, it is too high, I use doxtinex of 0.5microgram twice a week. At first it was 170 than it lowered to 145 level by the help of dostinex. Now I am afraid to measure my FSH and LH hormons because I am afraid to enter menopause!!!!!!!!!!

I was diagnosed with hyper prolactin levels when I was 22. The endochrinologist put me on both low progestorone and low esterdiol for 1 to 2 months and everything seemed to be fine. I am now 31 and have remained off the birth control pill since then in hopes i will one day be able to carry a child to full term and start a family. That is the only fear the doctors gave me... That I may not be able to carry a full term and result in miscarriage. The prolactin levels have been fine so far, however. I am crossing my fingers on having children. And will keep trying. But, i read this post and wanted to reply since i went through the exact diagnosis before. Good luck!
