hi
i am a 14 year old girl and I have been having headaches, red face, weakness, chest pain, can't concentrate, and vision loss that lasts any where from a few seconds to an hour. I have also find I can be doing something and I will just forget what I am doing, where i am and stuff like that. I usually start remembering again after an hour or so.
I have been having these problems for almost a year.
I have been told by my doctor that I have low blood pressure but my doctor doesn't have any answers as to why this happens to me. Please give me any ideas as to why this happens. Thank you

Hi! Sounds like you're having a bit of a rough time - I hope it's got better. You should go back to your doc and ask him to re-examine you for prolactinoma. In basics it's an inactive swelling (so honestly don't worry) which can affect the pituitary gland in your brain and make you produce different hormones. But it can also push on the nerve to your eye which would affect your vision like you've described. Getting headaches is another really common problem associated with it. A simple blood test to check for prolactin (it's the milk producing hormone) will tell the doc if there's a problem. Don't take no for an answer - it may mean you need to take meds for a while but it'll make you feel a lot better if that's the problem. Good luck and I hope you get on okay.
