OH my gosh!!! I thought I was alone, I crave eating soap.... I don't eat a whole lot, I'd just take a bite or scrape some off its just so soothing to me!!! Is that weird??? The Taste of the soap in my mouth is just awesome the ones I've tried so far are the Irish spring(original) safeguard, zest, I can't even remember them all I don't know why but I just crave it even before I got pregnant, during my pregnancy I tried not eating it but couldn't beat the urge I stopped while breastfeeding but as soon as I stop the urges came back, I find the urges strong when I'm stressed out, but I can remember starting to eat soap from I was about 11 years old or so

It is essential to seek professional help from a healthcare provider, such as a psychologist or a psychiatrist, who can evaluate your condition and provide appropriate treatment. The treatment for pica may vary depending on the severity of the condition, underlying causes, and other factors.
In general, treatment may involve a combination of behavioral therapy, medication, and nutritional counseling. Behavioral therapy can help you identify and change the thoughts and behaviors that lead to pica, as well as develop healthy coping skills and habits. Medication may be prescribed to treat any underlying mental health conditions, such as anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorder, which may contribute to pica.
Nutritional counseling can help you develop a healthy and balanced diet, which may reduce the cravings for non-food items. It is essential to avoid triggers, such as keeping soap and other non-food items out of your reach, and finding alternative ways to cope with stress and anxiety, such as practicing relaxation techniques or engaging in physical activity.
With proper treatment and support, it is possible to overcome pica and improve your overall health and well-being. Good luck with your efforts.
