hi i had a mirena coil fitted about 5 and a half year ago to stop heavy bleeding when should i have it removed or is it ok as i am i;m 50

The mirena coil should be removed an replaced every 5 years.
If you mean fust leave it there because you have gone through the menopores an its not needed anymore. Then im not sure. I think you should consult your doctor.
Iv just had the coil fitted. Iv been bleeding on an off for the last 5 weeks. Thats not worrying me an i go 4 a check next week. But im just wondering what your experience with the coil has been like.
There are a lot of bad reports about it. Especially painful sex.
