I had my tonsils taken out on the 12/12/17 and the pain hasn't been too bad. It's day 8 and I've been eating normal foods science day 1. The only discomfort I have it all the mucous I've been spitting up amd it's disgusting. It's green and sometimes a tiny bit of blood will come out. My nose has been fine but today my ear has hurt a little bit but it is getting better. I'm only 14 and my mum said the pain would be so much worse. When I woke up after the surgery, my pain was fine and I was feeling great. Several hours later I kept on vomiting, most likely from the medication and gas they used to put me to sleep. I have recovered from the vomit but I do have times when I think I'm about to vomit but I haven't since the hospital.
