Day after day, night after night, I am seeing black moving spots. First, I believed that I am out of my mind because I was "chasing" those black spots on the white wall, but then I realize that there is something really wrong going on with me.
In case if you are wondering, I had an intravetreal injection a couple of days ago, and when I take a closer look, I think that this happened because of this. So, I am wondering what can I do about this and generally, how long this will last? Tnx a lot for any information.

Hi there.
It is annoying, right? I had it as well, but I have to say that this just disappeared after a couple of days, while I was using a macular degeneration treatment that my doctor recommended to me. I remember that he told me that floating object and moving things are those things that will bother me the most. I didn't understand what he was talking about, but when I came home, I saw it and I knew it - it was like, oh no, one more side - effect. Well, it is normal. It will go away after a couple of days, let's say 7 days. Don't worry a lot about it.

Hello, those moving spots and flying objects or floating object that you can see are usually a sign of the complications and infection after intravetreal injection. My friend used to tell me that she sees some dark discs. She was telling me that those discs totally disoriented her when she was doing some normal life activities. How many injections you had? My friend told me that she stopped seeing those discs after fourth of fifty injections, I am not sure. Sure, you should let your doctor knows about it, but I think that there is no way too many reasons to be worried. Sure, being careful is always a good thing.

Hi!
It is a side - effect that happens after this procedure. Actually, I think that this is one of the most common side effects, and beside this one, others are a mild irritation and a temporary increase in pressure inside the eye. Now, when it comes to those moving object, they may be noticeable immediately following the injection and usually can last up to 24 hours. A lot of the people are asking why this happens, but it is very simple - because a capillary is being punctured and is nothing to be concerned about. It will go away.

I have nothing to add, expect that this is really normal and common. But also, a lot of patients are making a huge mistake - as soon as they get out of the hospital, after the surgery, they start to typing on their phones, they are watching TV, and the only thing that they can say about this is that their doctors didn't tell them not to do that. Well, that is not something that your doctor has to tell you, right? I mean, it is a logical that if you had an eye surgery or any type of the procedure on your eye, you should not stare in the screen.
