Just wanted to say that I also experience abdominal pain each time after using my silver Mac. It starts after about 10 min and it gets so uncomfortable that I have to stop using it. Once stopped, it can take an hour or so to go away.

i get this too. its so sore. my laptop is not apple and i use mobile internet. It seems to be worse when the internet is on. My legs go red too :(

Yeah, for me, my private part, my balls, like get warm, and feel all weird. I don't really want to put the laptop on my lap anymore... I think it's kinda unsafe.

I have been experiencing pain in my lower leg for about a month. Recently it has spread to both legs and thighs. I noticed last night that it is worse when using my laptop and lap desk. I began to wonder if the weight of the computer and desk could be causing it. After doing a search and finding these messages, my plan is to stop using it on my lap and see if I improve.

i have the silver aluminum mac book pro. i would usually check email, read nytimes/ articles and work on my laptop at night. most often i would rest my laptop on my belly while laying down. i have had the same symptoms: stomach ache, acid reflux/heart burn, sore testicles.

i am in the midst of testing my diet because of the GI symptoms - starting with the basics, then introducing gluten/wheat, different foods, for two days, to see if symptoms (pain, bloating) return.

i just now was laying down with the laptop on my belly and felt the curious pain and googled and found this thread.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problems ie Tingling,itchy,inflamed feeling,numness in limbs,short sharp pains and shooting pains in thighs with additional pain in pelvic area maybe not related but still(I'm a woman by the way) from my Acer laptop 17 inch I thought was just me n my huge heavy laptop that gets extremely hot n feels like its burning my legs and makes my thighs go red and blotchy even with PJs on, but it appears theres more of you so that makes me think we definetly have a problem here! Word of warning to you all I am 1 stage further with symptoms and actually have a disfigured left thigh now due to me having it on my lap for 4 hours with just my PJs on! I've been left with a L 5inch x W 2inch x D 1inch dint in my left thigh, I've had it for 1 month and went to the Docs today and he said looked like traumor to my fatty layer just under skin thats had blood supply cut off for a lengh of time which in turn has then made my fat n maybe even muscle disintegrate and is unlikely it will ever even itself out again even if I lose or put on weight! Gutted is an understatement as I had a nice set of legs n now it is visible with a skirt on!! Doc said there's nothing He can do and I'm stuck with it and just to put laptop on a table in future!

How do we get this info out? I did receive an email from my dermatologist about the danger to the skin, but it lead me to believe that if your skin was covered, it would be okay. I still think my problem is due to the heat and the weight.

I know there should be an official warning out there to others about the risks, even with a food laptray with beanbag attached I still got the same symptoms and the heat would make its way to my legs and cause pain, My thigh feels tender and weak after being on my feet at work allday and although My Doc was nice He said there was nothing He could give me to help! I broke down in tears in the car outside and felt helpless, I'm just stuck with it!

Thank god I found this thread on this site !

I've also been suffering discomfort and pain - to the point where I googled it expecting no results to turn up (because I thought there was nobody else with this problem !), and it brought me to this site.

I use a netbook in bed whilst lying down, and have it resting on my stomach. For the last couple of months I've been getting these uncomfy pains in my stomach about 2 minutes after using the netbook. I can't explain the sensation though ? It's like a throbbing in my stomach that won't go away, and it has lasted for days afterwards normally flaring up again after using the netbook.

It has me quite worried as I'm never ill, and a bit scared of doctors, but it's got to the point where I'm questioning cancer and a visit to the doctor, but I'm worried that I might be given some bad news.

Can it really be the Wifi in my netbook (Sony Vaio if it helps) that is causing this pain ? It seems strange that we ALL have the same problem, and that we don't think it is merely the heat emanating from the computer.

I've always wondered if RF signals can be harmful, and now I'm beginning to think it might be true.

Not really sure what to do now, but it's comforting to know that I'm not alone with this. I just don't think my doctor will believe me !

I have a net book, i doesn't get too hot but, i can definitely feel a uncomfortable sensation in my guts when i rest it on my stomach for about 10 minuits. We should start a joint action case and sue all these bastards

I have been expriencing the same problem too. I have my laptop for about three years and for about a year I always put my computer on my lap when ever I use it. At the begining I didnt feel anthing, but as i keep using the same way i start feeling something. Now when i ever i put my lap top on my lap i start feeling pain in my lower abdomain immdiately. i am confused i dont know what to say. i am worrried in case this can change to some types of cancer. I wonder if any body know anything about this. Please advise..

My legs are much better now that I do not rest my laptop on my lap. I still believe it was the weight and heat of the computer coupled with the weight of the desk that caused my pain. I stopped using it before my skin became affected. I use the computer on a table now.

WHoA!!!! I could literally have had written this myself. I am also happy to see others posting. This is VERY iMPORTANT!!! I am VERY Concerned and am SEEKiNG ANSWERS. My Left THiGH (as if it were BURNT on the iNSiDE). I think I need to take a step away from all TECHNoLOGY for a WHilE and RE-CoNNECT with NATURE!!!
