I took zithromax for chlamydia. When will I see some results?

I had the same thing happen to me, best thing I did was to man up and talk to my doctor, things will get better soon, it's curable and does not increase to gonno or HIV but don't leave it untreated, I'm no doctor but you should just talk to one. I did and I'm great having protected sex and living life like I did, but not raw dogging it.

Gonorrhea is a totally different STD, it just very commonly co-exists with someone who has chlamydia. And who told you that you take between 30 and 56 pills to cure it? YOU TAKE FOUR. It's 4 pills of Zithromax. It can also be taken as a drunk. The shot is for gonorrhea. You only get the shot if that's what you have. I don't know what those people you saw getting treated were getting treated for, but it wasn't chlamydia. I do know what I'm talking about because I just got treated yesterday.

well i once had just got rid of chlamydia and they gave me 2 pills called azithromycin i took them both in the same day at the same time and within 2-3 days i realized i didnt have any more symptoms the dr said to wait 2 weeks b4 u have sex and to go bk and get retested for an STD to make sure its cleared

However depending on the situation personally i got Azithromycin by IV for 7 days and then took medication for 2 weeks of Minocycline . Doctor say Azithromycin in single dose do not work all the time since it will kill the bacteria and you will be tested negative to chlamydia since bacteria count will be very low but after 3 weeks it might show up. I show him the Central Disease Control document to contradict the doctor. But anyways hope it will work for me. i did not have any symptoms at the time so i still feel the same.

The direction say to pour it in and mix with two ounces of water and then drink that and then after that, pour more water in and then mix it around and finish what's left in the cup. If very little was left in the cup and I didn't finish it will it still work?

If I had to guess, I'd say I consumed around 98-99% of it.

I've had this twice. The first time I didn't know what it was, and I let it get bad for about seven or eight days. Yikes! I got 20 doxycycline pills, but needed to get it refilled because it wasn't fully treated. After the refill I was fine. Today I was prescribed Zithromax, but the infection is still very mild since it hasn't been very long since I contracted it. I'll update you guys in a few days.

i took two pills at the doctors office and then it seemed like it went away because i had no symptoms an hour after i took the 2 pills and the rest of the day i woke up the next morning and everything was back.....also can a girl get it from a guy giving her oral?

I had both the clap an gonorrea at the same  time i went to the free health clinc an recieved a shot in the hip an was forced to take 4 little pink pills. All at the clinic. And told not to have sex for two weeks. I am worried it won't go away even after treatment, i had the pelvic pain minor discharge an the odor an thought it was just a yest infection.

i had drunk sex with someone 10 days ago without a condom...after 7 days it started to hurt when i took  a piss so yesterday i went to the clinic and they gave me some pills and said it would clear it up 4 blue and 1 white... how long before the pain or tingle goes away its been about 30 hours now....can some one help me??????

Dude- I am pharmacy tech TRAINEE at a compounding VETERINARY pharmacy, and I don't know how or where in the hell you got certified, but I would love to know what state. Boy, do you have you info a** backwards.... By the way, there is no way of knowing how long you have had chlamydia, I asked my GNYO when she said I tested positive for it (THANK YOU- to my cheating SOB EX husband). I had never had an STD in my life, and KNEW that most STD's show no signs or symptoms, and I didn't have any. I only knew that my husband was cheating on me. My family doctor (I needed a referral to see my GYNO-military insurance) even questioned me about getting tested (b/c no symptoms) and asked me how I knew my husband was cheating. He could have very easily talked me out of it.

I was completely shocked and utterly disgusted and cried my eyes out and pretty much told everyone I knew... including both of my parents. Yeah, even my dad, LOL. And trust me, I don't have that kind of open relationship with my dad. I was just sooo amazed and helpless and I felt dirty and gross and I needed support, BIG time. I got over it pretty darn fast when I found out I had to take a single dose of zithromax and it would be over and done with! It was an oral liqiud that tasted like bananas. That was a few years ago. I think I have gotten it again, but that is b/c I get paranoid when I have unprotected sex with ANYONE and it is so common... I just save myself the trip to the gyno and Dr, mostly b/c I do not have health insurance, and I just order zithromax online... With my experience, you know it is working b/c you pee- A LOT!. Doxycycline will also work, but I believe you have to take it for a few days or weeks, I'[d rather get it over and done with! Do not do what I described above- ordering meds w/o knowing dosage and such, or taking the antibiotics too often, your body will become resistant to the drugs and no longer work. I do it once a year so I know I am good. I basically never have unprotected sex with anyone, b/c guys usually never show symptoms and never get tested anyway. But, sometimes condoms break, and sometimes you are too caught up in the moment to worry about not having a condom. BTW, the generic for Zithromax is azithromyacin. Do your homework by reading actual medical advice from credible sources, not douches like the guy who "worked in a hospital".

Also, Gonhorrea (sp) can and never will turn into chalmydia (sp).

I got treated at a clinic for chlamydia, the doctor told me no sex, no alcohol, after 7 days, does this mean that I can't have sex wit a condom? Or that I shouldn't get a hand job?? Im confused... Can sumone answer my questions please.. If my girl gives me a hand job would that mess up the treatment since I was told to not have sex..

I got chlamydia from having unprotected sex and the symptoms began to show up about 10 days later.  It started out as a mild itching sensation inside the penis near the tip.  Within the next 5 days it turned into intense burning while urinating and frequent urination.  Symptoms started to get a little less severe until my appointment at the health clinic a week later.  I was prescribed Z-Max (Azithromycin) which was a one-time dose of 1000mg (1g) in 4-250mg small pink pills.  I was told to refrain from any form of sex for 2-3 weeks and symptoms should start to go away anywhere between 3-10 days.  After 3 weeks it is a good idea to get re-tested to make sure the antibiotic did the trick.
