I'm 18 years old, my boyfriend is 19. We've been together for nearly 2 years, but have been sexually active for a year. I've been on birth control since before we were together, and we usually use a condom. On May 10th we had sex without a condom, and he did ejaculate inside me. I also just so happened to have missed my pills 2 days prior to it. I haven't really had many symptoms, just the occasional headache (I was diagnosed with ice-pick headaches) and I'm tired lately (I just graduated high school last week). Since then I've been keen on taking my pill daily, but I took my second starting pill today and still nothing. By today I would usually have a heavy flow, and I haven't even had a hint of bleeding. Since I'm continuing to take my birth control, is it keeping my symptoms in the dark to where they aren't showing up?What are the chances of us being pregnant? And if I do turn out pregnant, will the baby be affected at all since I continued to take my birth control during the pregnancy? I'm so scared. I told my boyfriend about the possibility and he is 100% supportive. My parents and family are the ones I'm worried about disappointing. Please, someone help..

Hi Guest,
Your second "starting" pill? You mean the second placebo or reminder pill?
Do you run a 28 day cycle?
If so, it may have been late for you to get pregnant, having sex on day 18. Normally you would have ovulated at least 48 hours prior to this and the egg is only viable for about 48 hours.
Did you take the two pills? Even if not, the gap may have delayed your period.
At this point there isn't much to do but wait it out. You can test as early as two weeks after having sex, if you haven't had your period by then. Just be sure to use your first morning urine (wake up pee) for best accuracy.
There's always a chance of pregnancy but we can't predict the odds.
Hang in there. Keep us posted.
