Hi! I've had this problem for around a week now. Although its died down ALOT, its still quite irritable.
Basically, around a week ago I started itching "down below" It was only a day after I came off my period and I don't get many periods because i have the implanon. At first it begin as a slight itch, growing to a bigger and more irritating through the days. After about a day and half of itching (and showering twice a day) I noticed while in the shower that a part of my libia minora had swollen and was very very red. After a day or so it was getting so uncomfortable that I could only sit with my legs apart and I was showering 3 times a day just to get heat on it and make it stop hurting, one night last week it even reduced me to tears. The showers eventually helped and the part of the libia minora which was red has gone down, but the left side of my minora is still swollen. I found a tiny lentel size bump there aswell, kind of like a spot under the skin, it only hurt when I applied pressure, but even then it didn't hurt that much, that disapeared after no more than a day and half. Right now its been around 6 days since this started and the only thing thats irrating now is the fact that the libia minora is still swollen and the clitorus hood and side of libia minora which is swollen is still itchy.
Some details that may help:
I had my period for around 4-5 days which is quite short considering I only have one every 2-3 months. I did miss a shower while on my period and might of left a pad on for 8 hours longer than I was supposed too. (Busy schedule, working... not because of laziness!) I have used many home remedies to calm the itching including: Vagisal (Thrush cream) Skin Moisteriser (Not scented) Natural Yougart (Been told it would help, but this one made is hurt even more... resulting me to crying) Vasoline (To try and moisten it) and my last resort was germoline (which helped for a little)
I've never had a smear test and I live in a community where if I go to my doctor, my family will find out and that will be too embarrising. I'm 18 and sexually active but I don't use protection, but this is in no way a STD. I've been with my boyfriend nearly three years and we are both very faithful to eachother. Please help as i'm starting to get very worried!

You may have a yeast or bacterial infection.  It is very important for you to see a physician, but if you are worried about privacy you may want to go to another town.  Good Luck!

it does sound pretty concerning. my advice would be to visit a doctor immediately, even if it is embarassing. the symptoms ur displaying sounds serious and could be potentially a STD. so go to a doctor get it checked out.the longer u wait the greater the risk. wish u all the best
