What up? I've been on lortabs steady for about 9 months now. I've had 3 back surgeries, but i mostly take them to feel good, not for the pain. Last month my doc gave me percocet 10/325. WOW! I was feeling great, ran out and what misery! My body was hurting everywhere, I couldnt sleep. Went from bed to couch to the floor for 3 nights. I wasnt hungry, I had the runs, I was cold. I didnt want to do anything at all. Hell I couldnt. I would take 8-10 a day. I went back to the dr for follow-up, told him to ditch the percs and I went back to Norco 10/325. Percs are much stronger. I guess when I get near the end of my script, I will start trying to ween myself from this BS because I dont want to feel like that again-----EVER.

The human body sure does have a way of getting used to things that make us feel good. I have Fibromyalgia and Endometreosis and I too have experienced extreme withdraws from opiates. It sounds like you need to take your script as directed. Over medicating yourself will not only build up a tolerance, but buy you a one way ticket to "Excessive Pain Town." Have a conversation with your doctor about substituting your pain medication with that of a non opiate. Good Luck sugar!

I totally agree with pandathebear. YOu eventually do get dependent on opiates and you can build a tolerance so you should investigate other options if you can. Have oyu talked to your doctor?
