I had convolutions from birth till almost five. They went away, but when I was twelve I got to wired feeling , well I was walking by my kitchen window, It felt like a dajvu or like I am out of my body looking at me. I thought it was stress from my father dying. It starts from my head down my body scared weird feeling only lasts a few seconds or a bit longer. Then I feel weak and a bad head ache, all over my head and feel nauseated, very tired, scared. Last about a couple of hours the head ache and weak, nauseated. It goes away. Had a few I Didn't have any more till my fourtys, it started again, I thought it was could be hormones changes, or stress ,but comes and goes through the years after that, but I just got one in the shower, last about a min or more this time I felt I had to close my eyes . And squat down It's was very strong and scary. Very over powering I couldn't control it, this time, sometimes I could control it. extream head ache and weak and nauseated again like can't focus clear. I am 65 years old. What is it ?

This is how it happens for me,
I get flooded with a memory that feels like a dream, and I try on concentrate on the people in the dream but when I try and recall faces,
I get dizzy, fell sick, and start sweating and unreal amont of sweat. Even though it was 40 degrees. Then I feel weak for awhile afterwards..

This started happening to me about 10 years ago and I read a thread where someone suggested to stop eating gluten and see if that works. I was having these deja vu fainting feelings often enough that I did go GF and it actually worked. Since, there have been a few times where I'm like "Oh this GF thing is bogus and I want to eat an avocado bagel, etc. yet EVERYTIME i get off the wagon, the deja vu's start again. Also, I did a food allergy test and wheat was high on my list. The only other symptom is I get a cramp in my left side that is uncomfortable. Just throwing it out there as my personal experience.

So much of what has been written on here resonates so much with my experiences. Have been having what I can only describe as a series of feelings of déja vu which last about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Started over a year ago but have only just started recording the frequency of them. Seem to happen about twice a month. Weirdly, the majority of them happen when I get in the shower at home. Had one at work one lunchtime at my desk and another one in a shower on holiday. After the event, I feel like my heart is racing and I feel upset for an hour or so afterwards. The strange thing is, I can't bring to mind afterwards what the déja vus were about. I finally went to the doctor about them today (and yes, struggled to describe what was happening without feeling stupid and like I was wasting their time) and she said that it's possible that it's linked to the menopause (I'm 55) and has recommended Menopace Plus so I'm going to give them a try and see what happens.

So I am so glad I found this website and the people describing these weird episodes of Deja vu'/dizziness while feeling nauseated and disoriented. I feel like I am re-living a past memory. When I see a familiar building in a location I've been to in the past, it usually kicks up. I can feel it coming gradually for about 20 seconds and then after that it comes on very strong, lose my balance and get nauseated. The feeling does subside after 15 mins or so.
Anyways I've been struggling to explain what has been going on with me. I am happy to read I am not alone when I experience these strong Deja Vu episodes. I wish you all the best and I hope you find a solution to end these feeling's.
Cheers, Kyle.

When I told my new doctor he immediately correlated it to Zoloft and told me that those strange symptoms were from taking the medication intermittently. He also said that 12.5 is NOT an insignificant dose, in fact the first 10 mg does most of the heavy lifting with zoloft.
I hope this helps you if you are having these symptoms.
In the end I ended up going off zoloft entirely and found that I was able to handle life without falling into depression.

I had multiple episodes today...at least 6. Exactly how you describe it. It's like I'm suddenly jolted back into an intense dream I had in the past and I'm trying to recognize it, or navigate it. Coupled with some nausea and just a weird sensation all over. Very difficult to explain to people. I am experiencing some extreme stress right now. This is not the first time this happened to me. I had a series or cluster of them about 8-9 years ago when I was under a lot of stress.
