My period is normally very irregular and because of this, I oftentimes do not keep track of exactly when it comes and when it stops (also because I was not being sexually active for a long time). However, about a month a half ago I had sex and I do not think I have had my period. I know this is stupid, but I am studying abroad right now, and I guess my head was so full of all these new things that I could not remember if I got my period after I had sex with him. Now I am starting to freak out, especially because I am not in my home country and do not know how to go about getting an Ultrasound here in Europe. I had protected sex with my partner and he did not ejaculate, however he was concerned during intercourse and changed to a new condom. It is now Oct 21st, and I had sex sept 4th. I feel pretty good, and I have gained a little weight since coming here, but I think that is weight not bloating (too many new pastries in europe!). Basically I need some advice, because I am so scared. Also I took a home pregnancy test about a week ago that was negative, but I have heard that those are not always right. PLEASE HELP ME KIND PEOPLE OUT THERE!

Ok, this is nice and simple. (I'm UK). Walk into a hospital, and ask. Any of the major european nations have a pretty similar support structure, and the one good thing about a quasi-socialist victory in Europe (ouch) is this: that we get health tourists visiting to have major operations for free. I'm sure we can afford one little test for a friend. You may have a bit of bureaucracy to deal with, but beyond that, I would hope you don't have too much of a problem.
If you do, come back to us, explain the issue, and I'll try to suggest to you how to resolve it.

Hi sunasia. Just so you know, for the future, you may want to create a new topic when you ask a question: that way it will show up in 'unanswered posts' and people like myself will notice it more easily, and respond.
As to your question, you don't specify how long it normally is between your periods, but 26 days - bearing in mind that cycles are generally expected to be approx 28+ days in length - is by no means unusual. If you look at other posts, you will see women who have missed periods by weeks - unusual, but even then, there may be factors of diet, chemistry, stress, that are interfering with your cycle.
I always say that if you have a concern, check it out: go see a doctor or clinic (I'm an experienced adult, not a medical professional), but without any other information to the contrary (pain, bleeding - which of course in this instance would, we hope be your period - signs of pregnancy unlikely, in a virgin, to say the least) a 26 day wait is, right now, perfectly normal.
If you have reason to believe that it is not normal, go check it out with a doctor or clinic.
