period or miscarrage?

ok well i had a normal period 02-03 till- 02-07 and then me and hubby had sexthe month of feb. i have felt a light cramping on my left side all month well since the 16 or 17 , i have been sick and tired and verrryyyyy moody. so my period was due to come on 03-01 i have 24 to 26 day cycles and regular.. so i took a test on 2-28 and a big fat positive was there . the next day when period was suppose to come on well it came but was dark brown and dark red and didnt last long . i had a pad on all night and nothing came out . this morning 03-02 i woke up and no blood unless i go pee and wipe .. dark red and some pink . didnt come out onto the pad in bigger sizes than a quarter and had terrible back pain .. i havnt had to change a pad but 2 times and they only were timed out i dont know what is going on .. this am i took another test this am and faint positive .. so confused and dont know wat to do i have a dr appt in am but im scared bcus i had a miscarrage back last year . we want a baby so bad and not sure if im overreacting.. please help
