My period ended about a month ago, but since then I've been noticing some spotting and some blood clumps coming out almost every day. The clumps are no bigger than a nickel usually, and the blood is red. I'm not in any pain, I am sexually active but I'm positive I'm not pregnant, and there's no weird or unusual smells. I'm not on any medications and since I started having periods they've always been irregular. What's going on?

Well, I think you will need to check this out with the doctor as soon as you have a chance. Red blood means new blood and not something that maybe was from some intercourse you had before that maybe was rougher, or even previous heavy period. How long exactly does it last – all the way from the previous period? It could be caused by infection like Chlamidya which sometimes doesn’t have any symptoms at all. But it can cause this kind of spotting and worse if it isn’t treated with antibiotics. It also could signal a major change in your hormonal levels.
