My friend told me that Cialis may rival Viagra as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. I used Viagra for treatment for impotency. I have got an instant success. As I heard now Cialis is Viagra’s first direct competitor. I want to know more about it and may I change my therapy for a while with the same results?

Cialis is launched by Eli Lilly and ICOS Corporation. This drug is following the runaway success of Viagra. Rather then treatment for an ailment, Cialis is likely to be used as a performance enhancer. All these impotence drugs works by blocking enzymes called phosphodiesterase 5 or PDE-5. They relaxes smooth some kinds of muscle cells and also they allows increased blood flow into the penis. That is condition that must be done to get properly erection. Great thing with Cialis is that it starts working faster than Viagra, sometimes even in 16 minutes. Also, what is very important difference is that Cialis lasts 24 hours or even more. There were some studies that show how 59% of previously impotent men were able to have sex 36 hours after taking Cialis. As you can see, there are some good things confirmed by using Cialis, so maybe you should try it.

No, there are differences between them.

Here are some fact that you need to know before you want to buy it or before you want to seek for over the counter viagra alternative. So, here we go.

Both of them are PDE5 inhibitors that used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and they can't work every day, the only way how they work is only when a man is sexually aroused. First, Cialis is a medicine that lasts for around 36 hours compared with only 4 to 5 hours for Viagra.

On the other hand, food does not affect the activity of Cialis, whereas food may decrease the effectiveness of Viagra.

Also, Cialis is used once a day, in the smaller doses.

But sure, consult some expert before you buy any of these.

I like cialis better, takes up to 2 hrs to kick in and the effect lasts up to 30 hrs. Have also tried viagra and it gave me a more intense erection than cialis but unfortunately I had side effects. A weird feeling the nex morning. Viagra took about 40 minutes to kick in but the effect lasts only about 6hrs.

HI,

You'd better use Cialis instead of Viagra as Cialis' effect lasts much longer and besides has fewer side effects.

I'm 43 and I use Cialis after taking Viagra for a long time and there is a difference :) I assure you.

Btw I order my Cialis online at affordable prices, see

Don't forget to come back and share the difference

This is a kind of odd topic, because both these drugs are only supposed to be issued under a doctor's care, and here we are sharing our experiences and recommending that a person try it, as if they don't need a doctor's supervision.

First, these drugs treat Erectile Disfunction. That usually means an older male who is unable to complete the act of sexual intercourse without these drugs.

THEY ARE NOT FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT THRILL. THEY HAVE REAL SIDE EFFECTS AND DRAWBACKS.

I happen to have tried samples of both, and I agree with most of these reviews that Cialis provides greater flexibility.
HOWEVER, I had serious painful leg cramps with Cialis... enough to make me swear it off..... and I had an unusual "pressure" sensation behind in my eyes when using Viagra.

Since then, I've been able to work out my needs for a boost of this type of drug, so that I've decided I don't need them. Pacing and timing of my blood pressure medicine will be of better help.

I do want to say that what Kirk has said is totally true. The reason also why you don't want to take these recreationally is that there ARE side effects such as heart issues so if you want to risk it, go ahead but know that you're taking a risk. I haven't tired either, but thought I'd add my two cents. Thanks for posting your insights though, they are totally invaluable!

I've just re-read the initial posting. And I want to point out that for the sake of this discussion, Impotency and Erectile Disfunction are about the same thing.

They describe the same in-ability to keep an erection, but there may be a slight difference in definition as to whether one can HAVE ANY erection, or KEEP an erection long enough to complete the act.

Just wanted to clarify.

Again, I say that these drugs are NOT for self-dosing... but to be used under a doctor's care and supervision. There are cases where men have died due to a conflict in medications, and wildly fluctuating blood pressure. Not common, but enough to give one pause about experimenting without supervision of dosage, etc.

And, to answer the question posed by the title of this thread, No, they are NOT the same drug, but they both are used to treat the same symptoms. So many people will think of them interchangably.

(Fun fact: Do you know what the number one product export of Ireland is? No, it's not whisky, potatoes nor thoroghbred horses... it's actually Viagra, as Ireland has had a thriving drug-manufacturing industry over the last decade or more! True fact!)

The main advantage of Cialis over Viagra is that it is not dependent on alcohol intake or meals. Patients taking cialis should take them 16 minutes prior to sex. Cialis requires 20 mg dosage, although the recommended starting dose is only 10 mg.

Tadalafil is recommended to take orally 15 minutes before sexual activity. Its effectiveness may last as long as 36 hours for one dose.

I must say, I'm a bit surprised to read that dosage must be taken 16 minutes to sex.... why not 15?  30?  an hour or more?

Seems rather arbitrary, but then I have never had to take them in a rush to complete sex.  And I've since sworn them off.

I found in my case, Low Testosterone levels were the real culpret.  I would urge anyone looking to Viagra or Cialis to boost their sex drive

to instead consult your doctor about a Testosterone replacement or suppliment plan.

Good luck!
