I missed my period for a week and I found that I am 5m pregnant,It was not a good time to have a baby for me and I could not afford clinical abortion,thus with my biology background(medical student). First I used 4*200micrograms cytotec insert into my vagina, I even did not feel cramps etc. Then, I went a pharmacy and say I have gastric problems thus I need Arthrotec (50 mg Diclofenac and 200 mg misoprostol/ 20 tablets). I took 4 of the sublingually with 3 hours interval for 4 times (16tablets) and placed 4 inside my vagina but again nothing happened.
I was determined and got 20 more Arthrotec tablets, but this time I started to use vitamin C 6 hours ago (with pure ascorbic acid,500mg in 30 min) and 4 cups of Angelica Tea then, before I go to bed I inserted 2 tablets inside my vagina and 3 sublingually and 7 hours later I have started bleeding. I had some mild cramps but it is a heavier bleeding than the normal menstural type.
The thing I have done is not a safe method, and the most proper method is to go a doctor but, I was really miserable 'cause I got raped and I did not have much change. It is very dangereous, but I wanted to share my experience. I am still bleeding but that's ok,no big problems up to now. I hope it is useful for somebody.

hey mike,I believe you should got to a doctor for ultrasound,you may say I have irregular periods and want to check my tummy,thus he may say is there anything left in your body,cause cytotec does not always cause a complete abortion and you need to check it

I noticed this discussion is from a year ago, however I thought my knowledge could be helpful to anyone looking for such solutions over the internet.
Im 21 years old and used cytotec 1 month ago, as suggested by my GYNAECOLOGIST - I'm emphasising on this as the information I can provide is straight from a professional, not my opinion.
Cytotec can be used ONLY within the first 8weeks of a pregnancy, however its success rate is very small (around 30-40%), if it is administered by a gynaecologist after proper examination, that should be fine. I was informed that there are many factors that determine whether you are a "good candidate" for this solution (-causing a miscarriage)
Beside the extent of the pregnancy, there are factors only a doctor can asses. It is important to mention how in many countries, cytotec is not an approved form of abortion (not in my country either), yet some doctors will let you know of this choice "off the records", as did mine.
The dosage is very straight forward, 2 pills orally, and 2 inserted vaginally (NO MORE!!!). For me, I had minor blood drops 3 hours after taking the pills, and within the next 1 hour the blood increased --- let me clarify that the pain does indeed depend from person to person, yet most women have extensive intolerable pain, just as i did. The pain for me lasted a good 45 minutes. Honestly, I have had major period pains and I can take pain calmly, yet this was the worst experience of my life, i couldn't feel my legs -I was grabbing on them so hard that the skin around my nails had bled afterwards.
After that, I went to the doctor for a vaginal ultrasound which allowed the doctor to see the percentage of the miscarriage, which was 80% already for me and looked good. However, after going back for more tests and blood tests included, my doctor said I had to re-take the pills (that was 1 week after, as he needed to first monitor my hormone levels and miscarriage percentage). I unfortunately had to go through that pain again, though at least it was the last dosage and ended up to be very successful.
Im glad I did it now, as it is a non intrusive method which does not effect my fertility etc.
Please let me stress that the dosages are very specific and SHOULD NOT IM ANY WAY be increased by our own judgement as they may seriously harm our bodies; as someone has already mentioned previously, these pills are not designed for this purpose which means there are always risks involved.
If you are in a country where abortion is legal, ask as many gynaecologists as possible, I'm sure you'll find one to properly take over your "case" to monitor you. In case abortion is illegal in your country, contact a gynaecologist outside the country for suggestions and directions (maybe you can take the pill and after that go to a doctor, as this will be as if you are having a miscarriage---they will be able to monitor you and at the same time you will be able to contact another doctor for instructions on possible extra doses etc)
