Hi I need some help. I have problems with infection of respiratory tract. I cant breathe normally. My nose and sinuses are full of mucosa. My throat is red and I have difficulty swallowing. I have taken Humibid L.A. But now my doctor gave me Entrex. Are those two medicines the same?

They are similar but not the same. Humibid is guaifensin and the Entrex contains both guaifensin and phenylpropanolamine. Guaifensin is expectorant which means that he is used to break up congestion and mucous to breathe easier. On the other hand phenylpropanolamine is decongestant. It means that it shrinks blood vessels and reduces the swelling. So Entrex is more appropriate to your condition because it has both ingredients that you need.
