Hi everyone,
I'm 18 years old and I had sex on New Years eve. I was on my period so my boyfriend and I thought it would be ok if he released inside of me and would have no risk of pregnancy. However, I have been doing some research and because I have a 22 day cycle I was possibly at a higher risk? We decided to get the Plan-b pill and i took it on January 2. My period ended on January 3 as usual. However, on the 5th, I started bleeding again and it continued until the 7th. Could this be implantation bleeding? Is it possible I am pregnant? help anyone!!

Hi Kay,
You can get pregnant having sex on your period but it is usually a bit early. Remember, sperm can live about 5 days so even if you have sex before you ovulate, it may be there and still viable.
Regardless, I don't think you are pregnant. You took Plan B within 72 hours. It is VERY effective. It is more than possible that the bleeding that occurred is as a result of the pill.
Plan B can also make your periods early, late, heavy, or light. Your next period may be a bit off-schedule.
Again, I don't think you are pregnant.
