I recently received the arm implant birth control, Implanon. I was told that the implant can make your period completely stop but the symptoms that I am having are nothing that my OBGYN said I would have with the implant.

I feel tired all the time but when I try to go to sleep, I can't. When I can sleep, I have nightmares or I wake up at random times during the night. I cramp very badly at random times, I get constant headaches and I feel nauseous all the time. For a while I was bleeding very lightly a brownish, black color.

Is it possible that I am pregnant? My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex every time we have sex, considering I'm on birth control, we never thought it would be a problem. I have yet to buy a home pregnancy test. I thought seeking advice would be more beneficial right now.

Please help... I need as much advice as I can get.
